Senior Ruby on Rails Developer at Newbuilds

The real estate industry is undergoing a major shift toward automation and data-driven marketing. Newbuilds, a Norway-based proptech company, is at the center of that change, building a platform that helps agencies and developers launch and optimize campaigns across channels with speed and precision. Our technology powers marketing workflows in more than 17 countries, and we are continuing to expand the product with new capabilities and integrations.

You’ll work on the backend architecture of a mature, high-impact platform used by real customers every day. The system processes data from multiple sources, integrates with external services, and automates complex marketing workflows at scale. If you enjoy improving existing systems, shipping meaningful features, and influencing technical decisions, this role offers exactly that.

This Role

  • Design and develop backend solutions using Ruby on Rails in a production environment

  • Improve architecture, performance, and scalability of existing systems

  • Build integrations with external APIs, CRMs, and data sources

  • Work on a bleeding-edge proptech marketing platform powering automated campaigns

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on technical direction

  • Maintain clean, well-tested, maintainable code

  • Participate in peer reviews and knowledge sharing

What We’re Looking For

  • Senior-level Ruby on Rails experience (4+ years)

  • Strong backend engineering skills and architectural thinking

  • Experience with PostgreSQL and asynchronous processing (Sidekiq, queues, messaging)

  • Experience working with production systems and evolving codebases

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with ownership mentality

  • Comfortable working in English in a remote team
